What was I thinking?

It started simply enough. While craft-store shopping in November, I decided that for Christmas, I would make the moms and grandmas calendars.
I soon realized I would need to make several calendars...like 5.
I then realized it was already November and I had about 4 weeks to get stuff done.
I began to question how much I really loved these women.
And whether any of their gifts would actually be finished by Spring...
This project was quickly going to h*ll in a hand basket as they say...
...But I buckled down, thought happy thoughts and got it done.
(Happy thoughts of flowers and summer of course...)
Thankfully the project was finished on time which was cause for much celebration!
A bicycle ride perhaps?!? (no silly, it's winter)
Next fall, I'm starting my Christmas gifts in September...
...or at the VERY latest Halloween.
So come Turkey-day my gifts are all buttoned up, and I have nothing to do but relax and enjoy the holiday season...
...instead of being hunched over my crafting table like one of Santa's elves as I did this year.

Well that was silly...

Christmas 2009. The year of the snowflake. I was inspired to make these after purchasing a new snowflake shape cartridge for my cricut. Each of these beauties was 3 layers of paper, and I wrote "Merry Christmas 2009" and signed our names on the back. They were beautiful, but I'm not afraid to admit that after I got more than a little carried away and cranked out about 70 of these puppies, it was no longer a good idea. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!

Birfday Cupcakes the Size of Yo Head!

I baked up a little something special for Jason for his birthday. Sometimes life imitates art, no?

Does she glue with her elbows?!?

Luckily the picture is sort of grainy. It is obvious (I hope) that this was a birthday card. It was created while my creativity and gluing skills were still rather limited. Someone got real mail, nonetheless. :)

Not Young Enough

If once again you ignore the novice gluing skills, the quote on this birthday card is rather fun.

To my oldest friend...

Now that I'm out of these notecards with the colored borders I wish I would have snatched up another package (or two!) while I had the chance.

The best Part..

The best part of this card (along with it's simplicity) is that I used the paper from the wedding announcement for all the squares! (You can't match a couple's colors much better than that!)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Totally corny...and one of my first real card attempts (note the crappy glue-job). The googly-eyes make this whole card!
